Finding the right lesson is easy
What is the instrument you are most passionate about? That’s a great place to start. Then determine the students age. For children aged 12 or under, group lessons are a good way to determine if a student really wants to learn. If you are a teenager or adult, then private lessons will provide the best value.

How Long Does It Take To Learn An Instrument?
That all depends on to what level you would like to learn the instrument and how much practise you put in. If you just want to be able to play some songs with friends, you may be happy to learn for a year or two, however if you want to play more complex songs and perform then learning is a lifetime journey.
What Lesson Type Should I Choose?
The lesson type really relates to your own preference. Group lessons are excellent for younger children, those students who thrive on the “social” aspect of learning in groups and siblings. Private lessons can be taken at any age – some students thrive in a one-on-one environment.
What Age Should My Child Begin?
We have successfully tutored children as young as 4 years of age. The best time to start a child on an instrument is really based on their emotional and behavioural maturity. Students will need to concentrate for relatively longer periods of time that what they may be used to.
